What was your Neue Media Highlight of 2023?
“In May, Neue Media partnered with REA to give our clients an exclusive economic update, providing in-depth insights into key economic drivers, market forecasts and trends. The exclusive event gave our clients a first-hand look into the real-time data affecting their industry before it reached the broader market, keeping them ahead of the curve.” – Vanessa Lai, Director.
“My highlight for 2023 was Neue Media securing e&s trading as a client. Not only was this a big win for our team who worked hard on an intensive proposal, but it provided a natural progression to launch a consumer arm of the business, widening our network of connections within the property space.” – Rick Clement, Communications Executive.
“In February, our team managed and executed a 5-day photo and video shoot for our client, Gray Puksand. We had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with several designers as we captured stories about their many areas of design work, including sustainability, biophilic design, and inclusiveness.
“The shoot took place across both Melbourne and Sydney at several award-winning Gray Puksand-designed projects, including Hester Hornbrook Academy, an independent school for disadvantaged youth in Melbourne.” – Bella Douglass, Senior Communications Executive.
“This year, we introduced our client Kapitol Group to Australia’s mainstream media platforms, including the Australian Financial Review, The Age, Sydney Morning Herald and The Urban Developer. This resulted from a targeted media strategy, in line with Kapitol’s objectives to raise its corporate profile and achieve top-tier coverage in Australia. This reached over 3 million, showcasing their efforts to make positive changes in the construction sector.” – Grace O’Neill, Senior Communications Manager.
What are your 2024 marketing and industry predictions?
“Interest rates and the cost of living will continue to influence every element of our business. From companies taking a conservative approach to how they proceed with projects and how they market them, through the to stories told in the media and the opportunities we leverage to connect with online audiences.
“In this environment, backing every recommendation with insights, taking accountability for results and approaching brand storytelling in all its forms from a place of empathy will be paramount.” – Erica Moloney, General Manager, Communications.
“In 2023, we saw a huge focus on video content, particularly short-form video, due to rising users on platforms such as TikTok. As we move into 2024, businesses will need to adopt this more than ever, with accounts needing to increase their video content - around 70 – 80% of overall content – to achieve high engagement.” – Amira Maguire, Creative Content Lead.
“2024 will see a rise in vertically integrated developers, with traditional developers launching their own construction arm to deliver on critical housing and infrastructure projects. To compete in market, it will be vital for these developers to demonstrate innovation and efficiency at all customer touchpoints through a tailored communications strategy.” – Michelle Kane, Communications Manager.
“This year, we saw an active transition by leading inspirational platform Pinterest to offer an in-house shopping experience for its users. This new direction is likely to continue gathering steam as we head into 2024 and is something we suggest our clients consider, particularly those with a heavier focus on lifestyle and design.” – Aisha Dalal, Communications Assistant.
We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved for our clients over the past year and are excited to create more value and memorable moments in 2024.
